In January 2007 Clap Your Hands Say Yeah released their second album, Some Loud Thunder which includes singles, “Satan Said Dance” and “Underwater (You and Me)”.

The Brooklyn and Philadelphia based indie band was unsigned when they released their first album in 2005. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah quickly became popular amongst mp3 music blogs and live show goers and with the success of their first album, they were eventually signed to Wichita Recordings in the UK later that year.

Singer/songwriter Elvis Perkins has a very interesting and yet tragic family background. His father was Anthony Perkins AKA Norman Bates from Psycho who died of AIDS in 1992 and his mother was actress/photographer Berry Berenson who died on the first hijacked plane on September 11, 2001. Elvis’ debut album Ash Wednesday was released this month (February 2007) and is said to reflect the personal tragedy that he’s experienced in his life. During his upcoming tour he’ll be performing with his band Dearland.
