Muse set to headline Isle of Wight Festival

After winning the Best Live Act Brit Award, Muse is set to headline the Isle of Wight Festival along with Snow Patrol. The 2007 Isle of Wight Festival is scheduled to take place on June 8th, 9th & 10th at Seaclose Park.

Now in it’s sixth year after being brought back to life from it’s previous 1968-1970 heyday, it’s great to see the promoters working hard to get some of the best current acts to play at the festival.

The lineup at this point is:

Friday 8 June
Snow Patrol
The Feeling

Saturday 9 June
Muse
Plus special guests Kasabian
Ash
Wolfmother
Amy Winehouse
Arno Carstens

Sunday 10 June
Headliner TBC
Plus special guests Keane
The Fratellis
Paolo Nutini
James Morrison

It’s a pretty cool lineup and it will be interesting to see who else will be added. I can think of a few bands that so far aren’t listed yet that probably should be.

I would think that most people will be camping out for the whole weekend, but so far if I had to pick the best day I would say Saturday for the last four acts: Wolfmother, Ash, Kasabian, and of course Muse. Although The Feeling and The Fratellis are great live - that’s the beauty of festivals. To spread out all of the acts so that people will most likely be introduced to bands and artists that they haven’t heard yet.
