For the last couple of years I’ve been wondering if the Dropkick Murphys might very well be the most popular band in Boston (Massachusetts, that is). They’re one of the best live bands out there right now, and always seem to be on tour somewhere in the world - since 1996, playing punk irish folk music to a dedicated fan base that has been getting bigger every year.

I know it seems a bit early to start planning for St. Patrick’s Day, but when it comes to the Dropkicks playing in their hometown during the big holiday weekend, you’d be lucky to get yourself a ticket even now. Boston shows scheduled for Friday March 16th at the Avalon Ballroom and Saturday March 17th at Agganis Arena at BU are already sold out!

They’ve just added a new date for the St. Patrick’s day weekend on Sunday March 18th at the Avalon Ballroom. If you’re a Dropkick Murphys fan in Boston or if you like your punk and irish folk bands and are even just thinking about going, then run as fast as you can to your phone and call for tickets ASAP! Or get tickets online. Who would want to miss the chance to see the Dropkicks on their favorite day of the year? Good ol’ Boston boys who like their Red Sox, music and beer.
