Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly - War of the Worlds Video

The summer festival season has come and gone but ever since I saw Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly’s televised performance backstage at the Reading Festival, somehow it’s one of the most memorable performances of that weekend. Sam Duckworth aka Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly played his song, “The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager (Part One)” on his acoustic guitar along with Mike Glenister on Coronet in a very low key performance that day, and ever since, the song will often appear out of nowhere, going around my head. The ending ba, ba, ba, ba, bas as simple as they may seem are cleverly memorable after all of these months.
Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly has a dedicated fan base in the UK that will no doubt continue to grow if Sam continues to produce such quality songs like “The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager (Part One)” which is off of the debut album “Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager” released in September by Atlantic Records. The latest single is “War of the Worlds” released this week to the delight of their fans as well as new comers to the Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly contingent.
Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly often consists of just Sam Duckworth on stage with an acoustic guitar and a laptop but he can also be found playing with musicians Mike Glenister - Cornet; Andy Theakstone - Drums; Luke Leighfield - Violin; Rachel Drayson - Cello and Chris Bradshaw - Various.
Trivia: The idea for the name Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly came from sub-headings in an article in a computer gaming magazine.
