The summer festival season has come and gone but ever since I saw Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly’s televised performance backstage at the Reading Festival, somehow it’s one of the most memorable performances of that weekend. Sam Duckworth aka Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly played his song, “The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager (Part One)” [...]

There’s been quite a buzz lately about the Glasgow based indie pop band The Dykeenies. I can’t say enough about the quality of bands that have been coming out of Scotland lately - particularly Glasgow. The Dykeenies have just released their debut EP, “Waiting For Go” on Lavolta Records. Featured on the EP is lead [...]

Muse is one of my favorite bands, and what a treat it was when a few months ago I was at the Top of the Pops studio in London watching Muse perform - as well as a few other bands as mentioned in a past entry. Not only were we there to watch their [...]

This morning started off pretty good - with my coffee in hand I turned on the tv to find Little Man Tate’s video playing for their latest single, “Man I Hate Your Band”. Believe it or not I hadn’t heard that song until this morning and their raw bass driven indie punk sound, along with [...]

For all you Crazy Frog lovers (do they really exist?) get set for another Crazy Christmas with the Frog as he sings to you Christmas carols in the form of Wham’s “Last Christmas” this December. Apparently the Crazy Frog is such a fan of George Michael that he’s releasing the “Last Christmas” single in honor [...]

The single was originally put out by The Sugarcubes own label Smekkleysa SM and according [...]

If you haven’t heard it yet, get ready for The Fat Cowboy and his new song “Do Dat Diddly Ding Dang”. The single is scheduled for release in the UK on December 4th on Better The Devil Records, and could be the human equivalent to the Crazy Frog. It will most likely be one of [...]

There must be something in the water in Glasgow, Scotland because there has been some incredible music coming from up north. We’ve been lucky to have played Glasgow based bands Dieselbone and The Hussys on the Trendy Bands Podcast, and now fellow Glaswegian band The Fratellis have been making more and more of a [...]

After a simple search on Google News using the search term “band” the first story to come up in the queue was about Canadian country band Ambush. Apparently they have just been announced the winner of CMT Canada’s reality show ‘Plucked’, which by the way I had never heard of until now. It’s funny [...]

Pete Doherty fronted band Babyshambles will be releasing their latest single, “The Blinding” due to be released in the UK on December 4th. They did a great cover of The Clash’s Janie Jones recently and I’m looking forward to hearing their new single.
Babyshambles bassist Drew McConnell will be helping to organize the Love Music [...]
