Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris, ‘Ooh Las Vegas’

This morning I was having a cappuccino in Georginas which is probably one of the trendiest cafes here in Oxford. They were playing some pretty trendy bands on the overhead speakers as I was flipping through their copy of the NME.

One of the songs that was played was ‘Ooh Las Vegas’ an oldy but goody by Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris. It came out of the blue, amongst such tracks as ‘Eleanor Put Your Boots On’ by Franz Ferdinand and ‘Eighteen’ by Forward, Russia!. Even with the swift change of genre, ‘Ooh Las Vegas’ seemed to fit in quite nicely with the trendy sounds of today. Refreshing, really.
